Default 97 blazer 4x4 problems

i have a 97 chevy s10 blazer 4x4 with the 4.3 i am have problems with my 4x4 it will not engage i have replaced the vacuum switch on the transfer case and i have replaced the actuator under the battery with the cable. the 4x4 lights come on when i switch from 2wd to 4hi and 4lo. now that i have changed the vacuum switch i am not getting vacuum to the actuator and the reason i changed it was due to the old one was stuck on 4x4. any help would be appreciated thanks.

well..

if no vacuum to it how will it operate?

follow the line to the engine and see whats broken. I cant remember where it runs, but unless its attached to the manifold then ofcourse it wont work.

i have vacuum to the switch on the transfer case that i replaced but it seems like its not sucking the ball on the switch for it to switch the vacuum to the actuator. i have chased the lines and i did repair one that had a hole. when i put in the old switch that is stuck on 4x4 i get vacuum to the actuator but even then when it was on 4x4 with the vacuum on the actuator my front diff would not engage.
