Jesus... I would have kept the money bought the old one back replaced the door, fender, banged out the qtr panel best i could and sell it. Hopefully they wont do a bondo repair on the qtr panel and they replace the whole thing. I bought my 95 for 2200 and my 98 for 2500. I don't spend a lot on cars because I know they can easily be gone in a second whether its the owners fault or a third party.

Plus when you sell it it won't have a salvage title since it wasn't a total loss. What year is yours 2002+?

My sister in-law's estimate was like 8g's amd it did',t look as bad as yours. She chose to let it go and the insurance paid her 6500 and gave her the option to buy it for 700. I felt like slapping her uoside the head cause she didn't tell me about it!!! I would have bought it off her and parted it out, instead she let the autobody shop buy it.

well its done and we accepted the insurance peoples offer of $9,800 same price as the repair

as we found out all the liquids drained from the vehicle and the cylinders filled up with oil... and there are probbably other problems with it as well so we decided to let it go

and there were a bunch more costs other then fixing it as well that would equal way above what we payed for the car

Probably better. Find a non-z blazer (theyre cheap!) and lift it

$9,800 that's way more than my sister in-law got for her Trailblazer. Wolfpack is right you can get a cheap Blazer and put the money left over into fixing it up to your taste.
