Default Air bag forever light solved

So bought wife's 03 and had an airbag light that will never go out while on anyway. Drive through a puddle of substance and the bag light would go out....... For about 30 mins. Got the see service manual code never an actual code for say no communication or impact sensors ect. Connectors were clean and dry, bought a circuit safe tester of computer and airbag systems w digital gauge from dorman at twatozone for 26.00 after tax so did normal testing and reverse (ground testing) the ground wire was broken inside yellow wire armor water would get inside sheathing and would temporarily complete circuit. Some flux and really good soldering iron and some shrink wrap and i was in business. Hope this helps someone else w this annoying light. Oh passenger side was the location just above sway bar.

Nice! In my VW the light wouldn’t go out and I don’t care about it enough to chase down what is likely a bad ground so I took the gauge cluster apart and cut a piece of rubber that I had laying around and put it in the hole and wouldn’t you know my light went out!!

Good to know! Mine's been bothering me for a while now with the light randomly on and off. I will need to take a look at that, thank you!

When my clockspring broke, I "fixed" my airbag light with a 2.2 ohm resistor.
