Default Big decision to make, please help me

So I found this really really nice 1983 K5 for sale on Craigslist :

*** MONSTER 1 TON K5 RACE BLAZER*** TRADES OR CASH

and the guy originally wanted $6,500 for it with the really nice 350 but I told him I would do $2,800 with no motor and he said yes ..... I really like the K5 and I love how huge it is and just everything about it but I want to know is should I pull out my 4.3 from my S10 Blazer and hook it up to the TH350 tranny on the K5 and sell the S10 Blazer off for parts or should I try and find another 4.3 for the K5 and keep the S10 Blazer as well. Keep in mind though that I will have to tow the K5 from Moses Lake all the way to Astoria which is about 6 hours away so 12+ hours driving total I just want some opinions on what you all think I should do this is a huge decision for me. Thanks

Why would you want to put a 4.3 in a K5 to start with?

if your content with selling your s10, i would do that and find a 327, 350, 400, 396, or 454 but i wouldn't even consider putting a 4.3 in the k5, its just not enough power and will never have an resale value with that motor in it.....if it were me and i was buy this i would save my money after selling the s10 and buy a big block for it, i have a 396 in my k10 and its well worth the wait for that kinda horse power.

I might just not get it since the 4.3 wont work I don't have that kind of money and I can't sell the blazer it is my dd and only car at the moment ... so yeah might not get the K5 at all maybe I will look around for another older S series Blazer which sucks because I really really want that K5

The 4.3 will pull it but it would be a slug and you would hate your life. Now it might be worth buying then slowly building a motor for it if you really want it that bad. Or hell find a K5 for a few hundred bucks and slowly build what you want out of it vs what someone else has built.

You do have a point there the only problem with that is most of the older K5's are already fixed up around here not many cheap ones but maybe I can find something if I get lucky ... well soon find out.
