So, I had my old shocks on my 1999 Blazer replaced with four brand new Bilsteins. They make for a very nice ride and took care of the "float" that would happen when I went over any bumps. I don't have any experience with any other after-market shocks to compare them with, but they seem to ride very well and improved the overall handling of my Blazer. They're pricey, but I'm sure they'll last the remaining life of the vehicle.

 

They will last the life of the vehicle. Bilsteins have a lifetime warranty. Just save your old shocks to use during the shipping time.
