Default Blazer k5 questions

I'm going to be moving to san deago soon and looking to getting a 80'S K5 BLAZER (i must have one), im going to be putting a motocross bike in the back and want to remove the top. i understand its hard to remove the top on later models but i want a later one. when you remove the top dose it take away the roof over your head? i need the pro's and con's!
i'd like a bench seat too!
How do i find one in sandeago??

cheers max

The 76+ trucks still have the roof from the windshield to the 'b' pillar behind the driver seat. The 75 and earlier trucks are complete convertibles.

A bench seat from a pickup can be adapted to work in the K5, but getting into the back of the truck might prove difficult if you were to keep the rear flip forward seat that became available in the mid 80's IIRC.

use the rear bench from a 'Burb (a 8 or 9 passenger).

no offence, but for someone who "has to have one", i'd think you would know to @ least Goggle "K5's for sale".

seriously though, i'd stay away from Autotrader. if your local one is anything like the one in my area, you'd be hard pressed to find anything older than 15 years, never mind something as cool as a K5.

here's what a quick Craigslist search turned up in your area,
