I'll make sure he "takes care" of your parts, he's only like 20 minutes away.

Find a scrapper 4.3 in the yard. Take your time working on it/getting it worked on & then toss it in your ZR2.
That way you WILL have the feeling of accomplishment & WILL be accomplishing things, make it the way you want & you WON'T be without your DD.
Be like Christmas in the spring/summer lol. But don't cut corners! You have the time to do things right so DO things right!
Research & research again, get quality parts & find a worthy buisness to machine the heads & install the cam, crank, pistons etc etc or make damn sure you have the tools & research to make it right the 1st time.
You don't want issues or have to do this again, plus you can hold someone liable lol... yeah I'm speaking from experience.... CB has his 2nd engine now & it may be a lemon. Some variable/inconsistant ticking in it that I think MAY be a wrist bearing in a piston. The place I got the new-to-me engine (with 20,000 miles on it) only warrentied it to start for $1200 & it's from an '04.
Until I get that figured out it's not going on the dyno to be rev'd at 5200 rpm that's for sure!
With the cam, intake & all the other chit I/we have under the hood & in the trans it does haul *** even with the ticking.
I bet your ZR2 gets people to turn around wondering WTF is that sound & it seems to be coming from a... from that Blazer?!
