Default Can I put my small block in???

Yesterday we were in the mud and I blew the motor in my 1995 4.3 Blazer 4X4. I really like the truck! I have a great 305 in the shop and was thinking about putting it in. Question is will the 4X4 tranny still shift? And mabe what other problems others have had with the same transplant, before I do anything. First time on here so hope Im doing this right.

I am pretty sure that you will need to Fab, Fab, Fab to get it to fit. They had an episode on Horsepower TV where they installed an LS, it took lots of work.

pretty sure a 305 will bolt to the 4l60e no problem. Theres not much fabrication that needs to be done these days. Theres lots of kits that make putting a v8 in these trucks virtually bolt in.
