Can the S10 tow other vehicles?
I'm expanding my project car hobby and I'm looking for something that can tow other vehicles.
I've read in a spec sheet that the Blazer can tow up to 4,500 lbs. I suspect the pickup version is the same.
Are these capable of towing most other vehicles, or should I opt for a full size truck?

I've pulled one of those 6 x 12 UHaul trailers before packed with furniture.
Running the numbers on weight of the trailer and cargo, I've loaded this up close to it's maximum rating (I think) for the vehicle and the aftermarket reciever hitch I installed.
Had no over heating problems or issues accelerating (given the weight).
I know those UHaul trailers weight about 1,920 lbs, and I'm sure I didn't load more than an extra 1,000 lbs in cargo.
So that came close to about no more than 3,000 lbs, which is under the 4,000 lbs rating on my receiver hitch.
What about towing that Elantra did it not like? Was it making groaning or grinding sounds?

If you're going to be flat towing other vehicles or using a dolly, I would worry more about being able to stop. If you plan to flat tow often, you might think about investing in a towed vehicle braking system. Some of them can be easily transferred from one car to another if you won't always be towing the same car. Obviously, you don't want to use one with a dolly.
