I got 200 LED's from ebay, and pcb prototyping board and resistors and soldered them up, then installed them in the housing.
This time around I am going for 120 led's per tail light, 240 total, pwm controlled. Better quality LED bulbs too.
Sounds awesome. They are different brightnesses of running lights and brakes and blinkers?

yup, that is what the PWM is for (pulse width modulator) it flashes the led's at a high rate, lets say 60-90hz making them appear to be more dim, but the flash cant be seen with the human eye. It has a potentiometer which I can turn a screw to adjust the brightness of the running lights to what is perfect. and when you hit the brakes, it bypasses all of that and brings them to full brightness.

Either of y'all know a website that gives a crash course on this type of thing or would anybody mind typing one up?

Best bet is to search the net. I have years of doing things with LED's and learning. It would take quite a bit of time to type it all out.
