my 1997 blazer is about to hit the 100,000 mark. anything engine wise i should do other than spark plugs and regular routine maintenance? i heard something about timing chains needing to be done around 100,000.

The 4.3L is much more durable than the 2.2L. As said above the fuel pump may be an issue soon but other than that just regular maintenance. A 100K is not that much for these engines when properly maintained.
