I have a colume shifter in my Blazer and love it, I cant stand the floor shifter. I also have a Silverado and it's a colume shifter, so I guess I'm just use to it that way.

I'd rather have a floor shifter. We have lots of hills in town, and it's not handy to be shifting out of O/D into D when going downhill, to save on the brakes.
But, I do like my cupholders on the hump...

Man, I dont like that leather boot, not for me, I like the column shifter, out of the way for console space. Does anyone know if their is an alternative to the leather boot? Floor shift is fine, but i don't dig the boot, maybe i can rig somthing up..,, like the slot with the brustles?

Mine has a column shifter and I really prefer it over a floor shifter.
More room for pop and stuff in the center area by not having the shifter there.
I do realized that most think it is sportier to have the floor shifter. My camaro had the floor shifter and seemed to fit the vehicle, but the Blazer seems to favor a column for me.

i hate column shifters so after digging for a while i found two shifters that will work with a 4l60e one by lokar i think but it looks just like a manual shifter so i went with the B&M light truck mega shifter it doesnt actually say it works for it but i called and they said i might need another part to make it work but i didnt the thing just went right in and works great its actually a ratchet shift if i had a dog about the only kind that could make this thing change gears is a mastif and if its in your front seat i think him bumping the shifter is the least of your worries

I prefere floor shift is 100 times better to shift and it looks 200 times better than column ****., besides that I have 2 floor shifters one on my blazer xtreme and one that I don't use if anyone is intersted let me know.
