Common issues to watch out for?
Hi all. I'm new to the forum and have been searching to no avail for some info. I recently purchased a 98 Blazer LS 4dr (my first Blazer) and am wondering if there are any common issues I should be on the look out for?
The Blaze has high miles on the body (180k) but only 75k on the engine/trans/t-case. The body and frame are solid with only some minor issues to work out (i.e. muffler/tailpipe, leaky right rear caliper, brake pads, cracked driver's side power/heated mirror, an ill-fitting 95 Blaze grille, broken hood release cable, and some interior bits replaced or repaired).
For the $650 I paid for my Blaze, I am happy with what I got, but this is the first vehicle I have owned of my own in 19 years (just finalized my divorce in September) and I want to make sure it lasts me a while. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
