Hi,
I'm considering buying a 2002 GMC Jimmy 4x4 2-door (which is pretty much the same as a blazer, right?). It has around 96k miles. What kind of things should I be looking at? If maintained properly what kind of life can I expect to get out of it before I have any major problems?
Thanks!

How much are they asking and where do you live?
EDIT: And yes, Jimmys Blazers and Bravadas are basically the same thing.
Have the ball joints checked out, check the remote oil lines, and check the rad/overflow for any gunk or sediment. Keep an eye on the gas gauge, if it fluctuates rapidly it may have a bad sending unit/fuel pump. Interior wise these truck are pretty tough-check to make sure all the windows (I'm assuming it's power) go up and down without strain and check your seat recline handles-they tend to snap off.
There is a thread named "Common quirks" or "Common problems" floating around here somewhere. That will give you a wider variety of answers from various owners. I have 86K on my '00 4x4 2dr Blazer and I had the ball joints replaced within the last year, oil lines leak some. No gunk in my rad/overflow but I think my heater core is clogged. I know the sending unit/fuel pump is muffed but I just fill up at 250 miles on the trip odometer and it's been fine since then. Both recline handles are snapped off but the seats are where I want them. If I need to change them I can use a flathead screwdriver and if I really needed to replace them it wouldn't be a hassle.

get them down to 4k
blazers live forever if they're taken care of, mine has almost 170,000mi on it and still runs great (granted i had to replace a lot of crap)

So it seems like a decent enough truck. The only thing I noticed was a faint smell of rad coolant when I turned the heater on. What are the chances the heater core is leaking without any visible signs of a leak?
