I have a friend Who I've been trying to buy his 84 k5 Chevy blazer 4x4 for about 3 years know. It has 64 or 69000 miles on it he believes his brother had the motor rebuilt a yr or so before he passed. Its been parked at his shop under a car port for 3 years since his brother pasted away he starts it every three weeks or so he drives it around the block every other month. Hes asking 3000 and I would have no problem paying that except i'm not sure what to look for when buy. body looks great the paint looks good nothing a nice wash and a wax and buff wont fix. What problems are these vehicles known to have? Thanks for your time, help and advice

 

mostly rot. open the tailgate and check the floor, check the floor under the drivers and passenger seat, if you could get it up on a lift even better. also another common problem is the steering gear box cracks the frame up front. but that really isnt that big of a deal, easily fixable
