Well look on the bright side...*tries to find one* Oooh! At least your bumper survived. Right? *sigh* that sucks man, hopefully the deer was drunk and had good insurance...
MAYBE you can get the $6k, buy it back totaled, and bolt on the new gear. if you have a spare ride to get you around, most of what LOOKS to be wrong, can be picked out, and new/used parts bolted on. (I'm trying to find some positive man). Once you get the estimate look at that option real quick, you would spend less than the 6k by far, and could pay off a portion of the loan. BONUS: still paying for something you drive.

Maybe?

BAM... I couldnt turn away, because I did not see it until it was maybe 6 inches from my bumper...

The good news is that the hood flipped up and covered the windshield and the air bags did not deploy... I hit it and then pulled off the road after about 200-300 feet, and the deer was ejected another 100 feet ahead of me...

My front end got raped by the deer, it was a fatass of a baby buck with just a little rack... no pictures of the deer but it was dead and had one of its legs snapped and twisted in the wrong direction...

Happened at 11 and got home at 2 am....

Oh and the blood is still on the license plate...
And damn man, that sucks! As Pat said though it appears to be mostly cosmetic...does the truck still run? Looks like the rad got wrecked, but the engine itself looks to be ok.
Sucks about the estimate too. Body damage is always crazy expensive. What if you went to a junkyard and stripped another blazer's front end...you could probably get away with it well under 6k...

Agreed, paint job is the last thing to worry about then... at least you'll still be paying for a vehicle you'd have in your posession.

lol after giving her a face lift via the Junkyard, you can get a l33t Ambasador Paint Job from those trusted vehicular picasos; MAACO! I'm thinking Electric Grapevine Maroon!

Start calling around. get a few estimates on what you need vs. what they estimated, if it's $4k or less AFTER buying back your totaled vehicle, go for it and toss the remainder at your loan. or your GF's/kid's christmas

Blazin NC: did you see the pictures of the truck, and read the play-by-play of the carcass? not much freezer meat left by his account... maybe a summer sausage
