Default deffending the ride

I've been driving s10/blazers for twenty years now. I've had to defend my decision along the way but all I want is that blazer. Anyone else have the same ideals?

If it was just the woman I'd be great. But no one seems to understand why someone who makes decent money wouldn't want a car payment

Me and my wife are in the same boat. The Jimmy I am pretty sure is just about done for, or more money i want to put into a 93 with 203,000 miles.
But that money would be cheaper than a car payment. We do not want a car payment, they suck.

Yeah I agree I could buy a fancy new truck if I really wanted and wouldn't have any issue with the payment but I like being 100% debt free at this point in my life. Not allot of people can say they have 3 vehicles and 3 kids and be debt free! We are planning to buy a house in the next few months so a cheaper vehicle is just fine with me! Haven't had a car payment in over 5 years and love it

i agree... i bought mine for $700 as a "cheap throw away car" until i found something i really wanted (couldnt make up my mind on what kind of hot rod)... that was 2 1/2 years and $2500 ago.. now i plan on keeping it no matter what. insurance is cheap and there is no reason to go buy something else when this works fine. even at 220k miles im still ok with sinking some money into it rather than having another car payment.

I have to defend it in my own head as I toss around the idea of selling... It's a love hate relationship.

Well I've had my blazer since 2003,it was my graduation present. I always wanted a two door blazer. Now I've put some time into it. I drove it every day for 8 years, then I parked and completely redid it. I was taking important parts like break shoes and ball joints off that came from the factory. For around 7k I now basically have a brand new vehicle,no payment and the best part is it's mine! There isnt another one like it on the road. And women say we're not romantic

any repair is cheaper than a new car. Not only the loan payment, but also the insurance
