so i was just poking around in the recall section when i stumbled upon thishttps://blazerforum.com/recalls-and-...172/Recall.htmand it says that i can have both of my upper arm ball joints replaced...but in the dates it says dom from 10/1/1996 to 10/31/2006...i guess what im asking is can this affect my blazer?

The end DOM says 10/31/1996, not 2006. Did you see the part about the states affected and does that apply to you?

Your Chevy dealer can tell you if the vehicle was ever repaired or not under the recall (if you're not the original owner) and give you any info concerning the recall.

im planning on calling them tomorrow. although im not the first owner. i live about 45 minutes from the dealership it was bought from, thats where i plan to bring it.
the local dealershipF!##ed me over last time i brought my blazer there. ANYONE IN BURLINGTON VTAREA DONT EVER GO TO SHEARER CHEVROLET. what happened was my ignition switch was failing causing my blazer to stall and take forever to get power to the dash so i could start it. so i brought it there and they said they couldnt get it to start, so they went to put it in neutral so they could tow it in but "it wouldnt shift" ive NEVER had a problem with my shifting (auto tranny) so what they did is they ripped apart my center console spliced a bunch of different wires together (ex. green to black red to white) also all the wires they had "fixed" were all of different gague. and they installed som programable part that was wicked expensive with out telling me so...needless to say i brought it somewhere else and they straightened everything out.

I'm having difficulty finding this recall in the NHTSA database. If it isn't an all out safety recall and just a peremptory recall, then it is probably a do it once and forget about it recall. Seeing as how it was only 1 months worth of builds, that is how I interpret it. Which would mean that you are out of luck if your ball joints are dying now.
