Default Driver's Side Mirror

I have a 96' S-10 Blazer - recently the driver's side mirror fell off! I've tried numerous glues and epoxy's, but nothing works. When I go out to check on it the mirrir is always danging and I'm afraid it's going to damage the wires (for the power mirrors) - anybody have any suggestions for keeping it firmly attached?
It sounds silly, but currently I am using duct tape thanks to my husband who believes "it CAN fix anything" [:@]

I just cannot picture what it is you are holding on... Is it the whole mirror housing or just the glass? Any way that you could snap a picture?

Im going to take it that it is the whole housing seeing how I had two of three bolts snap on mine. The only way I could see fixing it was buying a new one, or a junk one if you can find it, but I had a hard time finding one with power and heat (mines heated), so I bought it new.

yes, unfortunately it's the entire housing - theplastic fastnersappear to be broken off (2 if I remember right). We bought some high power epoxy from Wal-Mart friday night and so far it appears to be holding okay, but with all the rain coming we'll see.
How hard is it to install a new one? I mean, are the wires attahed to a "clip" that just disconnects an can re-connect to the new, or will we have to 're-wire'?

There is a connector inside the door. You have to remove the interior door trim to get to the connector and to unbolt the studs that are no doubt still in the door itself. All in all, not a difficult replacement job.
