General Chat Chat about all things Blazer (and related vehicles). Off-topic stuff should be in the lounge, and all mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

Dumb question.

Default Dumb question.

My 98 4x4 sit's about an inch lower in the front than the rear. Is this standard or are my torsion bars sagging?

You can't REALLY see it in this pic unless you look close enough. I measured front and rear and it's def about an inch difference.

That's fairly normal for trucks, sometimes they allow the height in the back to be a little higher so when there is a partial load it won't be sagging. You might even have the Z85 -Increased Load Capacity Suspension. Check for Z85 code in your glove box.

My previous 2000 4dr did not have the option and actually sagged a little in the back, My current 2000 4dr has the Z85 and sits higher in the back, like yours, but it also rides rougher.

Remember, the rear leaf springs can sag also, but your truck looks good for overall ride height.

Thanks that puts me a little more at ease. I'll look for the RPO in the glove box. I know there's a bunch of codes in there lol. I'm the second owner of the vehicle, my stepdad bought it new (ordered it from the factory) so i know the history of it. I thought maybe since he never hauled with it and the front was more loaded than the rear it was sagging.
