encoder moter

Default encoder moter

this is my encoder motor correct? I want to take it off to inspect, but there are like torque screws in there with i small nipple in the middle of them. What kind of tool do i need ?

(sorry i have crappy camera )


not my bolt but like the same thing

The encoder motor bolts on using regular hex head bolts. The other screws hold the encoder motor together. Those screws are called safety torx. Do not remove the safety torx screws without first removing the encoder motor from the transfer case.
