I know you have already decided on a 2nd gen, but in my opnion, I love the First gen Looks. to me it feels rugged, and more prideful. Plus, I see newer Blazers all over, how offten do you see the older ones in good shape... I persinaly like to stand out in a crowd, not blend in (like I said, just my opinion)

I'd keep the old one alive forever, through multiple engines, transmissions, upholstery sets, paint jobs, etc. It would cost a lot, but less than trade-ins. That's just me though. I just never want to part with a car...don't think I ever will

Thats just you... If my Blazer blew, Id find a newer one. I like the old ones, especially the Tahoe LT 4dr wagon...

Awesome! Our Blazers then will never be a part of another tragic story of "Oh God, look at all those flattened cars on that flatbed...*cry*"

As they say on 'American Muscle Car',
"Don't crush 'em, restore 'em!"

Yeah, right. Just don't ever own a house, or have kids, or food in the 'fridge...

Yep...well if I ever got in a bad financial situation I still wouldn't sell my Blazer, I'd loose the house before I did that. I could cause $100,000 in damage to it, totalling it 30 times over, and still come around one day with the money to fix it

I'm only a packrat for my Blazer though.
