Not to hijack, but how well does that rear end out of a full size fit under the blazer? I've been wanting to upgrade mine from the little ten bolt to the 8.5". I thought the full size trucks had wider axles? I don't want my tires sticking way out past the fenders. You don't happen to know the wms length, do you?

Dont know the exact length but The blazer axles are shorter. You can have the axle shortened though.

Exactly! I'm trying to decide on a rear axle for when I do my SAS (someday). I want something that ARB makes an air locker for. An 8.5" 10 bolt would be easy enough to find, but I always thought it would shove the tires waaay out.

I know you can have them narrowed, but I really don't want to pay to have that done. I'm hoping to find something around the same wms length as the stock rear end.

not sure about the full sixe but the ZR2 axles are 3" wider than stock Blazer axles, im just worried about getting pullec over because of the tires 3+" out from the wheel wells

I noticed something on my truck axle yesterday while working on it.There are pins that hold the axle in at the differential housing. They are an MFer to get out.Lots of heat map or acytline to get them hot then a bolt or harden steel rod to hammer them out with 4-6lb minisledge and they will come out.My neighbors werent very happy with the noise I was making yesterday but I started working on taking those pins out.
