ok guys in my blazer the gas gauge is all the way on empty all the time. the temp gauge doesn't work. the rpm gauge and mph gauge work though and so does oil pressure. the miles and gear indicator doesn't work unless i turn the key halfway between off and the run position. once i start it it is black. i count the gears to know what im in lol. its been like that since i got it about 6 months ago. how i tell my gas is i fill it up when it's somewhere between 200 miles and 250. idk how close im cutting it. maybe it's the cluster? i hope it's not an electrical problem. it's a 2000 ls 4 door 4x2.

Gas gauge probably has to do with fuel pump. I would say 95% of s10/blazers have this problem. As for the rest, I'm not sure. Have you tried putting in a cluster that you know works and seeing if the problems persist?

i don't have any clusters. can you get them cheap at like a junk yard or some where? how hard would it be to fix it if it was the fuel pump?

sounds more like youringnition switch for the temp gauge. and a common problem for the fuel gauge is the fuel sending unit on the pump. Could be a bad connection at or near the pump also

yea i got the blazer from my uncle i paid 2000 for it so i didnt get the best deal but not a bad one either i don't think. the door key is different then the ignition key. he said he paid a mechanic to change that because he thought that could of been the problem idk what else he had done so maybe i need to call him and figure out.it's in great shape other then those problems she runs really good besides the serpentine built squeaks really loud idk why it would do that either its really annoying anyone got any ideas about that? and if it was the fuel sending unit around how much would a mechanic charge? i live in Knoxville TN. thanks sorry for all the questions i just want to get her in top shape because i really love the blazer.

prices very from area to another600- 800 maybe. You do it your self for around 300. Go on amazon and look up gaterback belt for your truck. That`ll cure that problem

Good thead. My gauge is like Greens' - after filling it shows 3/4, Now I know I am not alone in this suffering, and If I ever want to fix it I could do what OP did.
