I have been a Supporter of that site for 7 years. I have over 5000 posts there. I was a Ford factory trained tech. I have owned more Fords than any make. I have never had the trouble with any Ford like I had with these Blazers, The worse Ford I ever owned was my 86 F250 4x4. But It didn't cost me what this Blazer did & I owned it for 14 years & 60,000 miles of heavy towing.

all my best memories have been in Fords, i really like the fold down rear seat in the '71-73 Mach 1's, lots of memories !! plenty of "snuggle room"
and come to think of it, no where near as costly as my Jimmy

I like the Blazer overall. But it is just too expensive to own. Just too many issues. This 98 was the biggest piece of junk I ever had. When the engine went after all the time & money I had in it I said its over.
I bought this Ford F150 4x4 & so far it is serving us well. One thing with the 302 & 5 speed it gets 19.5 mpg on the road & it appears to get about 16 in town so city is better than the Blazer road is close to the same.

boy i used to be a die hard chevy fan, in a chevy family, all owned them.. i enjoyed years of chevys then i bought a new 1997 k1500 chevy, it was a giant disappointment!

with the IFS and chevy 4l60e trans. the only really good thing was the body tell i found out my door were saggin after it was a year old and the hinges were glued on from the factory and needed bushing changes every other year if you ever went offroad, the body was thin as a pop can!..

then i thought the power was good, well wouldnt you know it the lower intake gasket was leaking under 70,000 miles... the injectors are some kinda leaking junk! what a joke.

To this day i still own that chevy truck. i really like the 3rd door ext cab shortbox look. but i have put a solid axle/leaf springs in it and a 4l80e and a np203/205 combo, nothing you can really do about the terrible hinge design and flawed windshield leaks.... i will never sell it because i will take such a loss.. anyhow after putting the ford d60 front axle and np205 in it i became a instant ford fan, i have all stopped even driving it, infact in 2003 i bought a 77.5 ford f250 and was done with it then. just start it up once in a while now.

now i have a dodge d60 upfront of the k1500

that chevy turned me into a ford fan, and i just buy these cheap s10s to let the wife destory and sell them.

I will still like older solid axle chevys, and old chevy hotrods, but chevys truck maket and suvs are pure junk anymore well since 1988
