Default General Info for New Guy

Hi There

I am planning on buying a Blazer/Jimmy soon and have a couple of questions

1. What years had 2wd? (I don't want a 4X4)

2. I want a V-6 but would like to know how much more gas a V-8 would use vs both sizes of V-6's.
( If all types of engines were plain jane stock types!)

I'm not for sure about the full size blazers, but the newer ones (1st Generation & 2nd gen. S-10 blazers) should have either a 4 banger or a V6 and have either option of 2WD or 4x4. I don't think that you'll find a S-10 blazer with a V8 without having an engine swap. So it pretty much boils down to personal preference:

1. Full size blazer
2. S-10 blazer
a. 2WD
b. 4x4
c. 4 cyl.
d. V6
e. 1st generation
f. 2nd generation

Hope I helped you out. Good luck.

in case you were thinking about full size...they stopped making 2wd in the early 80's. but like 01extreme said, you can get a 2wd s10 any year

thanks

I ended up buying a 1988 s10 with a 305 v8 in it. Couldn't say no to the power!
