Default Going to be cooking for. Good rig.

Morning all. Here in the next couple months I'm going to start looking for another truck/ suv. And I'm wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions. I'm planning on probably going to a car lot this time. All the rigs I've ever bought have been thru buddies or friends of and never had to pay more than 500$ for something that runs. Wanna stick with the square body family. Right now I have an 89 s10 blazer 4.3l 2wd. I'm a diyer and like to be the one who works on my rigs and I have put a lot of work into it in the 2-3 yrs I've had it. So I don't know how new I wanna get my next chevy/gmc. Definitely want 4x, but also would like to have good mileage ,short enough I can fit into my single car garage, a lil bit more power and storage for tools for work. I appreciate any input y'all might have and hope all is well with u and yours.
