The good thing about attrition...
Since so many of these units are reaching the end of their practical life expectancy for most users, these are coming up for sale fast & furiously! Due to this I have bought 3 Blazers in the past 2 months-all running, but not road worthy. So I have been peeling parts for my 97(which I'm gonna keep for a while longer) trading things like seats and wheels, then selling the hulks to salvage yards-they come get 'em for free and give me $ to boot! So,while this has really irritated my wife,in the past two weeks my inventory has bailed me out:caliper froze up...in stock! Drivers window switch cluster crapped out...in stock! Mileage falling below par? an almost new set of autolite platinum plugs and Belden wires...in stock! She is starting the see the logic in this madness as the $ we get for the hulks are paying for our concert trips this summer! Just thought I'd let you all know...

I would totally be running a junkyard if I was allowed... I know how it works, its nice to see that your wife actually uses her head and understands.

Yeah...getting a parts car is great...how i paid for all my mustang mods.
I wish i had more storage space....from last fall till this spring i had almost a full 95 mustang in my basement minus drivetrain and shell.
i am looking for another.

Well, heres something else! Tapped a small doe coming home from work last night! Didn't damage any sheet metal, but destroyed the grille and the bumper and one headlamp cluster. All these parts were in stock and repaired the unit today in about 2 hours! BTW the deer was fine...
