Hard to start

I have a 2000 s-10 Blazer that is hard to start. It started right after my wife ran it out of gas. After it starts it sputterrs a coughs and takes awhile to get up to speed.

Could have damaged the fuel pump when it was run dry.

or clogged the fuel filter with the crap in the bottom of the tank sucked up
