The later model 4.3's (and other models) intake manifold and heads do this anyway, hence the name 'Vortec.'

But it doesn't mix the fuel and air. It is way upstream from the fuel injectors. The fan deal goes in the intake ducting, ahead of the throttle body. The injectors squirt into the lower intake manifold.

I think you will see more gains from hooking 80 of these to the intake and triggering them all to go off at the same time.



The tornado is horse crap. My noma had one when I got it. Only good thing I can say about it is its stainless steel. When I took it out of the breather I got about 1 mpg better. It hasn't rusted one bit hanging out back being used as a pistol target.

im not a Chevy guy, so i dont follow the whole Vortec stuff.. im a Mopar guy. ive just got the Blazer for somethin to work on and to get me through college

thats where the turbulence comes in. if the air is spinnin by the time the injectors are actuated, the fuel will mix more evenly with the air.. im in college for Diesel right now, and learned that turbulence has ALOT to do with performance. if you dont have an even burn, you dont get crap for power
