New here, thanks for having me. Just purchased a 1998 blazer ls. Previous owner pretty much just let things go on it. I got it for 900.00 and put 460 into it. New spider, 1 brake line, both rear calipers and e brake cable, idler arm and pitman arm and also both sway bar links. I did all the work myself which saved me a few in labor. Found this forum searhing for a few answers and it helped a lot. Now questions, are there any issues with the tranny on these and any common problems with the truck overall?

I would have to say the only thing that really irritates me concerning my blazer (95 LS 4WD) is that when something goes wrong, its a guessing game figuring out EXACTLY what the problem is. Other than that, it seems that Blazers tend to go thru brake pads and rotors more so than other vehicles I have owned. My husband has a Blazer as well, and he has had NO PROBLEMS with his (2001 LS 5 speed manual) and has only had to replace his brake pads. The better u maintain it, the better off u will be....but thats basically true for any vehicle.
