Default Help with finding out info about a 2001 Blazer (or possibly a different SUV)

I was trying to find specific information about the specific materials (such as what type of ceramics compose brake pads, what alloys are used in various parts) that compose major components (engine block, pistons, etc.) of a blazer, or any SUV in general, and was wondering if anyone could help point me in the direction of some useful information. Thanks in advance.

Moved to General Chat - This really had nothing to do with the Chop Shop...

A lot of the materials used consist of cast iron, ductile iron, and a few vast aluminum parts. The stock brake pads are an organic material, but many suppliers have come out with their own ceramic composition.
