My wife discovered something today on the blazer. If you pull and release the interior door handle it will turn on the interior lights for a moment. This can be done while driving down the road. Don't pull the lever so far that the door opens.

 

Why do something potentially dangerous instead of just using the switch?

 

Just reporting what was discovered and seeing if anybody else has discovered this. That is a good question to ask the engineers at gm. I am not sure why it works like that. I would have thought the lights would be activated by the door switch on the side of the dash not the interior door handles.
