Is it just me..?
I live in a small town, ive seen quite a few of nice blazers,s10's etc. Most are teens from the highschools etc..
Something here random :
I was in oreillys and a kid comes in needing spark plugs to "make his car go faster". What was he driving? A early s10 pickup with the 2.8. It had a body kit, tinted windows,"cold air intake which was taped together" and he hacked off all his exhaust. The man behind the counter asked him which engine the 4.3 or 2.8. the kid said "i dont know". I had to help the kid out and explain to him on how the spark plugs arent going to make his car "faster". if they are worn,it might improve somewhat, but they arent going to add 50 ponies.
Moral of the story here :
Dont be the stupid kids that throw tons of worthless parts on and act like fast and the furious.

i have never worked at a parts store....but i know what you mean.
i am amazed at how much "most" people dont know about their cars...i am by NO MEANS an expert....but i think a standard getting to know cars should be taught in highschool....i mean they have home-ec....at least that i know of, but nothing to teach kids about what they drive.
here take a course for a lic just dont ever look under hood...just keep putting gas in there....you'll be fine.

i been working on cars fulltime for about a year or so now. and i think ive meantioned before on this site that every s10 blazer i see roll through is just a pile of crap. needs everything, and leaks everything. they usually always seem to run good though. and even though the truck needs $3000 of repairs and the tires are about the fall off the owner usually just wants the vibration or the noise to go away and doesnt wanna put any money into it
