the welds are not perfect im still a student and i had a buddy weld them up since i was busy working on a wood-stove project. trust me i do better work than this but i talked to shane and he said it was fine he wasnt worried about it. i also yelled at my buddy for screwing them up so bad (especially the one weld thats all zigzagged)

P.S. its called splatter not "dingleberries"

I didnt realize you were a student. Oh and by the way i have been a welder for close to 13 years and diggleberries is definitly what we call that crap in the buisness. Yes its spatter not "splatter" like you named it, but every welder I know calls it dingleberries because they are nasty looking and stick everywhere....

My appologies Dimone545, I honestly shouldn't have reacted the way I did. I guess I didn't realize you didn't know he was still a student. My fault man.

Mods feel free to delight my previous post, it was uncalled for on my part.

Do yourself a favor - don't get the person that welded up those shackles to weld your chit.
Good luck on the pre-fab of the bumper, there is lots that isn't realized at a glance. Trust me lol

& it's spatter, not dingle berries, not splatter, spatter! weld spatter!... As it is in everyones different neck of the woods, we all have our own terminollogy of it

SPATTER!! lol weld spatter.
Ask any welder what spatter is & they'll tell you. They may use words terms like dingleberries, splatter, but it's weld spatter in my view lol

hagn all, I'm off to give my pillow some head

its all the same and yea im not im doing it myself but hey were all just students trying to learn the trade but im mostly a TIG student not mig nor arc

Arc is a pain in the @$$ if you dont have the correct electrode for the job for example those last shackles he used a E6013 1/8 when he should have used a E7018 or E6010 oh well i made the guy new ones and im sending them out to him not a big deal my loss of money for having my bud do them but hey were just trying to learn
