Default Look at my axle!

Wow, the bearing had completely disintegrated and I even found 15 bearings in my axle tube instead of 13 like the new bearings I put in and the one on the other side. Pretty sure they weren't from my carrier bearings, but I still havent figured out where two extra bearings came from. I didnt count the number of bearings in the cage I found in the tube and wish I would have now so I could conclude that maybe someone put the wrong bearings in. I only took video of the inside of the axle tube so no pics of that unfortunately, but there was a nice big pile of silver goo 😓 Any thoughts on where the extra bearings came from would be awesome.

That sucks, but axles and bearings wear out. I'm guessing the extra bearings were from a previous bearing replacement. No other explanation how they'd be there.

Yep, have to be old rollers, the other bearings are ball type.

CRITICAL to remove both axles and thoroughly wash out ALL that silver goo- metal from the bad bearings and axle. That metal debris will eventually damage the other bearings.
