Default LOOKED AT A 1978 and

So this 1978's in pretty good condition. What I don't like is no power windows. What I really don't like (and very surprised) that
there's no Trailer Hitch! Looking underneath to see if there's room for one and to me it looks like there's not much.I didn't look closer but is that the gas tank?

Yes, that's the gas tank. There's plenty of room for a trailer hitch, and you can probably get a used one for next to nothing, or a new one for pretty cheap.

I'm guessing by your surprise and disappointment that perhaps you weren't around in 1978. Most vehicles didn't have power windows or even a/c. In 1978, the rear bumpers on trucks were a dealer option, and the bumper was used to tow with.

Yes, vehicle technology and equipment packages have changed a lot in 40 years. Back then trucks were considered a work implement instead of a daily cruiser.

Hi, You can probably find the correct used hitch scrolling through the bone yard sites. Also there are universal power window motor kits available on the Webb so you should be OK with a little research.
