Ok, so I'm going with the '96 Blazer 4DR having an 18-gallon tank and the light coming on with 4 gallons left in the tank?

I've never seen my light go on before, but I've been below the red line many times.

Then you don't have one...

Mine usually comes on when the needle touches the red.

My mom always runs her 97 on E for like3 days. I tell her it is horrible for the fuel pump but anyways there is no light because my 2000 comes on as soon as it touchs red. Hers runs in the red for days and no light. I dont think the light is on anything 97 or older.

Been discussed before. The low fuel light didn't come in until '98.

Regardless, you really don't want to be running it that low. All the junk in thebottom of your fuel tank ends up getting pushed through your fuel lines and clogs up your fuel filter. Although, just my opinion!

I have a 96 Lt no fuel light on that eathier and i have ran it to the red lines plus some even ran her dry a few times and had to walk to the nearest dam station no dam fuel light i have been saying for a while now they should put them in and my buddy has a 95 and his dont have one.
