So I have the std. lugguns, with the screw on black plastic caps. I do not like much.

The only black lug nuts Acorn style I can find are Anodized aluminum.

Aluminum wheels are bad enough but I do not think I can trust Aluminum lug nuts.

What say you all.

 

I got a set of black lug nuts and wheel locks for $20 at autozone a few years ago. The metal seems to be softer than the stock lug nuts but they seem to work still although the paint has worn off the edges on some.

I'd be afraid of the aluminum galling on the steel threads too.
