well a few wks ago was talkin to one of my friends and he mentions that had a lil legal trouble(driving w/ with no liscence/insurance/registration,cops took his plates) and is sellin his car,a 97 cavalier Z24 for 600 bux..now granted it needs work but ive been lookin 4 a better mpg vehicle for a lil bit now.

As far as repairs it needs a cat(would get a high flow cat if i got it),o2 sensor, somethin in the front suspension components(he has the new part),3 tires(i have 4 that will fit it)and it has a few dents, dings but hey i could make it work.

Im gonna go sometime soon here as its like a 2 hr drive to the guys house to look at it in person and see what shape its bodys in,how it runs etc and if its decent i might be towin home a another car ..

for $600? sounds like a decent deal. i had one once with 79kmi, 5 spd though, and it actually ran really good and never had any issues with it the 2 yrs i had it... from what i've heard, they dont hold up well in the long run.

well i had a 97 Z24 b4 i owned the bravada and i was well, rough on it and it took the beating and held up,only died after some rod bearings went on the motor so there decent lil cars and they are really good runnin lil cars if you take care of em..so for 600 bux i think its a good deal, and hell even if get it and its a pos i can make my $ back + more parting it out easily(could get 400 alone for the rims) but thats not my goal
