It depends on what year range you are talking about. The 97 and older Bravada uses a borg warner transfer case which has a dedicated split 35/65 F/R. The 98+ Bravada uses the NV136 transfer case which is basically the same as the NV236 transfer case in Auto4wd mode. The transfer case can cycle between 0/100 F/R to 50/50 F/R.

I have a 89 2dr 2wd Jimmy 1G and a 2000 GMC Jimmy Diamond Edition 4dr 4WD. I like them both for different reasons. The Diamond edition is 30 anniversy edition of the Jimmy and has a load of standard factory options and it was only made in 2000 & 2001. The 89 is TBI and is very easy to work on and is my DD with almost 420K and is in great shape still. If you can find a diamond edition it would match up against the Bravada very well. It has the NP236 Transfer case that has 4 Auto, 4 Hi, 4 Lo, 2 Hi pushbutton. The Diamond eitidion also had an HID Option which I like but is a white elephant. The HID Bulbs are custom Philips for GM and are only availible from GM at a very high cost. You have to purchase new ballast with a new bulb again at very high cost. I have purchased a set of like new HID Headlights off of Ebay that came with the new version bulbs/ballasts and I have one spare bulb/ballast for the future. After that I have a couple of brackets I made to house a standard D1S bulb in the housing.
