Default New to this site and have a very important question!!

I really hope I posted this in the correct section. I'm new here and I have a question that I could really use some help with. I need to replace the front end (differentials, axle, everything) in my 96 Blazer. A friend of mine found me 2 frontends one is off of a 99 blazer and the other is off of a 98 blazer. I have no idea if either of those would work being mine is a 96 and my mechanic is out of town for a while. Does anyone know if they would work? Last week I replaced the entire rear end so I am trying really hard to keep my cost down on this project! Thank in advance!!

Most of the front drivetrain and steering parts are not directly interchangeable between the '95-'97 years and 98 and up unless you change everything over to the newer style. The diffs are not the same, the CV axles are not the same, the hubs are not the same, the calipers are not the same, the rotors are not the same, and the list goes on. The only way to go with the '98+ parts is to replace everything on your '96 with the newer style parts.
