1989, 4.3 175599 miles, 1 year old tune up, 235/75-15 General Grabber AT2's stock transmission, 411 gears front and rear, 2" dia axles in military axle shafts , except the windshield, I get a solid 17mpg in the city, or course thats in 2 high, if I slap it in 4 low, I get about 2 gallons to a mile.
98 ZR2 150,000 4.3, auto, K&N cold air intake hi-flow cat 2 1/2" exhaust & summit race muffler transmission cooler & all synthetic fluids 3:73 gears. On highway with cruise at 70, 20-21 mpg that's easy driving trying to get good MPG maybe 15-16 mpg in town. But when I put my foot in it OMG maybe 10-11 mpg. Not even going to think about when I'm off roading
2001, 4 door, 2WD auto, Stock. 90% city with AC on 90% of the time. Get about 17, because its 17 miles to where the wife works and it uses about 2 gallon a aday. Needs tune up,once I can get hold of a strobe light, and had it first ever FULL service at 103k.
1984 K5. Small block 350, I drive pretty conservatively for your average 17 year old kid, at least compared to my friends. 95% city driving, with two decent tread muds and two ****ty ones on the front (lack of rotation and alignment from PO). Stock 3.73's and 3 spd manual and I get 9 mpg in the winter and 9.5 in the summer. Of course I need to put on new plug wires and a new fuel filter without snapping the damn fuel line so maybe that will help. I was hoping I got better mileage with 300 pounds worth of top of but I never actually checked...
i get about 12-13 mpgs with my 4.3 thats stock as far as i know. it is a bit rough riding sometimes, and i have a leaky intake manifold gasket but no moneys to fix it
i get the coolant free at work so i just filled it up when it ran down. I know you're probably all about to tell me how stupid it is to not get fixed but i gotta make sure me and the wife have food and heat, ya know?

Well my 2004 2dr, with a stock 4.3 and 99,600 miles, went from 10 mpg city to about 13 mpg city. I just recently got all new tires and replaced the air filter the other day. I took a trip up to my brother's college hauling some small items in my Blazer. It was a 266.4 miles round trip and I only averaged 17.7 mpg on the highway!
I have a 1997 blazer 159,000 miles 4dr 4x4 with 4.3 V6, auto trans, i'm not sure what axle ratios I have.
My mods are lowered front end 1", warm air intake, 235/65/17 Michelin mxv4 tires running 51psi, removed roof rack, 4 wheel alignment with front toe set @ 0, camber set @ 0, I use a Scangauge II for data displays, and installed 2 extra under body panels for better airflow.
My commute is about 80%city 20%hwy and I have been averaging 24 mpg lately.
