I'm all stock (for now). I actually have been keeping track of what I've been getting for the last month, and so far I'm looking at around 16.5 mpg on average. I drive 70/30 with the majority being city. Recently, I did a lot of city though, and my last fill up was 14.3 mpg.

I have a 94 Jimmy everything is stock except for what looks like a 2 inch shackle lift. I don't know anything about shackles so perhaps someone can tell me if this could worsen my gas mileage or not? I'm getting around 15.5 just about every time. One time since buying the truck I got 17 but that was short lived. I changed the plugs and wires and did an oil change but I think the real culprit right now is the exhaust. The cat is original and doesn't sound too good. I think it's probably clogged. I know I can get better mileage because my boyfriend has an identical blazer and he averages around 17 even with surging and a really crappy idle. You'd think mine running really good would do better than his but apparently not.

2001 Blazer 4.3L 4 door 2wd. 3.42 rear, auto tranny 255/60/R15 BFG's and recalibrated speedo via Tech2, 172k miles. About 60/40 hwy/city driving. I drive it like I stole it most of the time. It doesn't snow in Louisiana, so it's either sunny or raining. I average 17.6 to just over 18mpg regularly. I pulled a little over 22mpg on the last trip to Dallas.
<10k miles ago, I replaced the following with all Delco parts:
Fuel pump
fuel filter(Wix)
spider assembly
distributor
cap and rotor
spark plugs and wires
ignition coil
maybe 1 or two other things that I'm forgetting ATM

There are numerous threads on that topic elsewhere in the forum. You might want to try the search function out using key words like "improve+mileage" or "increase+MPG", etc. Once you get comfortable with the search function, a lot of these threads will be easily in your reach.

I calculated right around 18.8 MPG for a tank, around town driving with short highway (60mph) trips as well, to and from work approx 18 miles each way. Stock 4.3, stock gears, etc.
Trip to northern Minnesota, almost exclusively highway, at 65-70 MPH as limit allows, I calculated 21.7. Lovin' it!!!

looks like i got 15mpg this time that was all in town driving. just a stock 99 4.3 vortech auto trans and 4wd but i have it in 2wd unless it snows in the winter so. i got 15mpg in 2wd town driving and half the time i would say im beating the **** out of it and half the time im taking it easy. on trips i usually get 18 to 20mpg somewhere in there or a little more.
