Alrighty so the last 2 days I have moved. I have about 1000 pounds pry more idk but my blazer is pretty loaded down. So I kept track of the mileage during this trip. filled it full before I left went 201 miles filled up and calculated that I got 22 mpg yay well drove another 125 miles and I stoped for the night to stay with a freind. stayed there 2 days did some driving around a big city then left. filled up 196 miles on the trip meter...calculated got 20 mpg. up til now I have been freeway driving pretty much the whole trip. now I am on the highway and speed limit is 55. well filled up again after like 120 or something got 18 mpg finished my trip 250 miles left still at half tank filled up 26.6 mpg WOW...overall I figured I got about 20-21 mpg with a good sized cargo load I feel thats pretty good.
^ How???? i drive straight freeway once a month for 4 hours with minimal weight (myself being 220lbs and my backpack of clothes so 20lbs) and can only pull 21 at my best....

I have an '86 blazer 4x4 with a 5 speed without the 5th gear so I go around in 4th gear all the time. I do a little light off-roading about once a month or so, nothing serious. I get 20 combined, and 22 straight highway. I have no idea how many miles are on the vehicle it only has 5 digits on the odometer. It reads 74xxx on there, could be a 1 or a 2, who knows.
i pull consistent 18-19 now that i go to school monday through thursday. my mph average is somewhere between 75-85 on I-94 which isn't lawful but it does get me to my 7:20 a.m. class on time when i wake up at 7 ( i live 15 miles away)
