Default Opinions on 1999 Blazer?

Sadly, I think it's time I bid my 1989 S-10 goodbye. 270k miles is nothing to sneeze about though...

I'm looking at a 1999 Blazer w/46k miles on it. In reading reviews the common problems I keep seeing are:

1. Ball joints going bad
2. Oil Lines leaking
3. Door pins breaking causing door sag
4. Radiator "Gunking" up
5. Alternator

What say you, oh Lerned Masters of all things Blazer?

The radiator gunking up is a common thing with Dexcool fluid and pretty much any radiator fluid out there from my experience. A simple flush of the fluid and then a back flush of the hoses, radiator, etc. will remove a lot of the gunk. The others I'm not so sure as, luckily, my Jimmy was fully serviced before I got it and have yet to have any oil leaks of that nature, as well as the other stuff you mentioned.

I, too, have a 1999 GMC Jimmy, but with close to 110k miles. I hope to get 270k miles off of this thing (including transmission) .
