question about a blazer conversion from 4.3 to a 350

you can use the same trans. You will need motor mounts, headers from JTR, if you go fuel injected you will need the computer and wiring from doner vehicle. You have to convert to electric fans and a few other things im forgetting. Try doing a search for it. I know it has been discussed a few times. Check you Jags That Run. They have a kit that includes a few of the things you will need along with a manual.

If you want a carb (as in carburetor), you will have to remove the engine computer and replace it with a dedicated transmission computer. Then, you will no longer have OBD-II, none of the sensors, and you will have quite a difficult time getting the electronic systems to play nice -- as in your cruise control will do nothing, you won't be able to have a check engine light etc. It would be much easier (and road legal) to put a 5.7 in it. For that all you need to do is get the engine, trans and computer out of a tahoe, preferably the same year as your Blazer, but any after '96 with a mechanical accelerator pedal will work (I think). Hope this helps!
