Default R.I.P blazer...

well my blazer died today.. she had 198354 miles on her and today she throw a rod.. i know to most a car is a car but i loves my truck.. im embarrassed to say this but i have tears in my eyes typing this. this was my first car and had it a few year so im guessing thats why its hard to see her go.. well just wanted to say thank you to all who have helped me over the year on the site..

Blazers don't die! It must be resurrected!! its only an engine...

I know how you feel, Ive had mine for 14 years, never had the heart to part with it...

Thats sad man i would feel the same way if that happened to mine. But Diaita is right! its only an engine! go get a new one and get another 200,000 out of it.

Why did it throw a rod tho?

This doesn't have to be fatal. Check out the possibility of a used engine from a local auto rebuilder/dismantler if the body/remainder is worth keeping.

Yeah...get an engine. It will be far cheaper then getting a new ride and you keep your baby.
Thats my plan should that day ever come.

i am im already looking for one. well it blow a head gasket and had that fixed and when i got it back it started to knock and just got worse over time. it could of been fixed i bet. just didnt have money and had to get to work.

water killed the bearings. You always have a option of a used engine from a pull your own parts type yard. they are usually 200-300 for a engine with a warranty.
