Have a 1999 Blazer with a rattling tape deck. I don't use it since i have cd player but the rattling drives me nuts and I have no idea to stop it. Is a separate component from the radio in the dash. Th tape deck is under the dash.

After about an hour and a few hundred swear words. i finally decided to just place 3 or 4 layers of black electrical tape across the top which worked. No more rattle. Thanks for the input.

I ended up removing my tape deck completely and made a custom tray insert for a better finished look. Took all of 15 min to remove the 4 nuts that hold down the console, flip it over and its 3 more nuts that hold the Tape player to the brackets. Slide it out and there ya go.
No more rattle and im happier then a pig in mud.
