Default Rebuilding the rebuild

I went inside again today to get that pesky ticking. I replaced all the lifters and am waiting for the rtv to cure.

This is the one I had the small fire in due to a vacuum line laying across the exhaust. With the lower intake off I can see what is there now. I have two lines. One is a 3/8ths vent and the other is a vacuum line that stops shortly after the zip tie binding it to the trans dip tube. I'm pretty sure I have to restore vacuum to this line. It is leading towards the transmission.

Is the ticking consistant?
Towards the transmission or fell off something behind the engine or on/hooked up to something the firewall?
